The Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology, is dedicated to building capacity and undertaking research necessary to conserve biodiversity and the functioning ecosystems upon which people depend. DICE was established in 1989 as Britain’s first research and postgraduate training centre in conservation science, and named in honour of Gerald Durrell.
